This is an amazing fossil. This is a Spinosaurus premaxillary jaw section with a tooth still embedded in the jaw. It has excellent quality and the tooth is pristine inside the jaw. One side of the jaw is completely flat which shows where it combined with the other section of premaxillary on the opposite side of the jaw. The best part of this fossil is the fact that the tooth sockets are receded or gone for part of the jaw. I found this puzzling when I first saw the jaw but now know that the upper jaw premaxillary of Spinosaurus was missing teeth to accommodate much larger teeth in the lower jaw dentary. The pictures provided show this phenomenon. This is the real deal.
This jaw comes from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco dating back to about 95 million years in age. The fossil will be shipped priority mail with insurance and tracking of course.
