SOLD Ex Rare Allosaurus Tooth In Natural Matrix Jurassic Morrison Formation Colorado
For sale is an extremely rare Allosaurus tooth in its original matrix just as it was discovered. The tooth has really excellent serrations and enamel. The serrations go all the way to the tip on both sides of the tooth!
The tooth measures 13/16" in length (just over 3/4"). It is possible that the tooth could be slowly prepped out of the natural sediment it is in if the buyer chooses to do so. Adding a little bit of water really softens this matrix and simple tools could be used to free it from the rock.
This tooth was found in the Morrison Formation of Moffat County, Colorado. The Morrison dates back to the Jurassic Period approximately 150 million years in age. This formation represents a time in North America where iconic dinosaurs roamed the Earth including Apatosaurus, Stegosaurus, Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus, Torvosaurus, Camarasaurus as well as many others.
The fossil will come with a COA upon the buyer's request. Don't miss out on an opportunity to own a tooth from one of the most iconic dinosaurs in history!
