This listing is for an excellent ROOTED Thescelosaurus dinosaur tooth from the Hell Creek Formation of MT dating back to the Late Cretaceous. This area was once a coastal floodplain of the Western Interior Seaway that span across the middle of North America. This area was a prime place for fossilization to occur due to how common the movement of water was as well as sediment that was carried with it.
The tooth measures 3/8" in length and has great enamel and comes with its own gem display case.
Thescelosaurus was a genus of small ornithopod dinosaur that appeared at the very end of the Late Cretaceous period in North America. It was a member of the last dinosaurian fauna before the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event around 66 million years ago.
