SOLD MQ Rare Theropod Toe Claw Triassic Period Bull Canyon Formation
This is an really rare listing as it is a large theropod toe claw from the Triassic Period of New Mexico. The fossil was a surface find and is not only extremely rare due to how well preserved it is but also its huge size for this time period. This may be from a Coelophysis but is is unlikely due to how big and wide the claw is.
This fossil was found in the Bull Canyon Formation.
I get excited about this claw because I have found similar fossils in the Hell Creek of MT/SD and find it incredible how similar they are. It's amazing to think that dinosaurs are so unique but ruled for 180 million years of our planet's past.
It's a very rare opportunity to own a true theropod claw from the Triassic and an actual LARGE one as well.
